Chinese Cooking
The children celebrated their China topic by making stir fried noodles. After dicing, grating and cutting up all of their ingredients they cooked them in a wok before adding seasoning for extra flavour. Yum!
Carrot and Coriander soup
The children have been busy making a delicious carrot and coriander soup! First they peeled a range of vegetables (potatoes, carrots and onions) and then chopped them up. After putting some vegetable oil in a pan they cooked the vegetables until they were soft. Once this was achieved, they used a stock and hot water to make the base of the soup before adding the vegetables and bringing it all to a simmer. Finally, the mixture was decanted into a blender with fresh coriander and black pepper before being whizzed up into a creamy soup. The children then enjoyed eating it with some fresh bread - yum!
